We may collect account details such as your name, email address, profile information, listing or resource submissions, support messages, and basic activity information needed to keep Eigo81 secure and working properly.
How we use information
We use information to provide accounts, review and publish submissions, respond to support requests, prevent misuse, improve the directory, and communicate important service updates. We do not sell personal information.
Submissions and public content
If you suggest a business, service, resource, or article, parts of that submission may become public after review. Contact details used for moderation or account verification are handled privately unless you clearly choose to publish them.
Cookies and similar technologies
Eigo81 uses cookies and browser storage to keep the site secure, remember choices, and support account features. Optional analytics or marketing storage will only be used where it is enabled and permitted through your cookie settings.
Essential cookies
Essential cookies are required for the site to work. They include session cookies for logged-in users, CSRF protection cookies set when secure forms or account actions need them, and the cookie-consent record itself. These are used for security, authentication, and core service operation.
Preference cookies and storage
Preference storage remembers choices such as language and light or dark mode only when you allow the Preferences category. These preferences are not used for advertising.
Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies may be used to understand aggregate site usage, such as which pages are visited and where errors occur. Eigo81 does not currently enable a third-party analytics tool, but if one is introduced it will be controlled through cookie settings where required.
Marketing cookies
Marketing storage may be used for advertising and ad measurement. Google advertising remains disabled unless advertising is configured, you allow Marketing in Eigo81's settings, and a separate Google-certified consent management platform (CMP) supplies a valid consent signal where required. Eigo81's own settings panel is a site preference control; it is not a Google-certified CMP.
Advertising partners
If Google ads are enabled, third-party vendors including Google may use cookies or similar identifiers to serve and measure ads based on visits to Eigo81 or other sites. Ads may be contextual, limited, non-personalized, or personalized according to your consent and Google's settings. You can withdraw Eigo81's Marketing permission from the footer, use the certified CMP's privacy controls where shown, and manage personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings.
Managing cookie choices
You can accept, reject, or choose optional categories in Eigo81's banner and reopen them from Cookie settings in the footer. If advertising is activated, the Google-certified CMP provides a separate privacy control where required. Withdrawing permission in either applicable control prevents Eigo81 from making future ad requests until valid permission is granted again. Essential cookies cannot be disabled because they support security and account features.
Service providers
We may use trusted providers for hosting, email delivery, analytics, security, payments, and advertising. Paid listing boosts are processed through Stripe; Eigo81 does not receive or store full card numbers. If Google ads are enabled, Google may process advertising and measurement data as described above.
Maps and external tiles
The directory map uses OpenFreeMap. Map style and tile requests are made only when the map interface is loaded, so OpenFreeMap and its delivery providers may receive ordinary request information such as browser details and referring page data. OpenFreeMap states that it does not use cookies and does not log IP addresses by default, although temporary IP logging may be enabled during a security incident.
Retention and security
We keep information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including legal, security, moderation, and operational needs. We use practical safeguards to protect information, but no online service can guarantee perfect security.

Your choices
You may contact Eigo81 to ask about your information, request corrections, or ask for deletion where appropriate. Some information may need to be kept when required for safety, moderation records, legal obligations, or legitimate service operation.
